Gotta find an app that will compress the .wav file into .mp3 or somesuch.

If anyone wants the low quality .wav file, I have 20 seconds of audio in that format which could be emailed to whoever wants it

A much longer (and larger file  ) can be made available also...

Hmmmm.... Kerwin sent me a link to their site also :bowrofl:

So I am assuming the usual disclaimers apply, or am I to assume that by your "endorsement" that it actually works???

In either case the price is right  so will give it a spin...

Meantime if anyone else wants to deal with the monstrous .wav file
email or PM me and "it will be yours for the asking"...

Eric

+1 Audacity.
It will take your .wav and compress to mp3.
I've used it with albums. (remember those).

That sounds exactly like what the WSP Port Townsend site does every so often. Transmitter locks open and dispatch keys it a few times then it stops...

Im gonna send this to the WSP tech and see if he agrees with me. Betcha its a Quantar base station...

Isn't that the scientific term for egg white?

No SAR stuff the other night. Also, now that I've refreshed my sketchy memory with a look at the frequency chart, 154.965 isn't the normal mission frequency (That's 153.755 simplex). It is a repeater, so that guess about a wonky base station might be on the money.

Back again today... until a few minutes ago. It may make a liar out of me but firing up the computer and posting this may have stopped it this time :bowrofl:

Murphy's law of itinerant interference/garbage producers:

Goes away when you REALLY start paying attention to it...

Am I the ONLY  one who listens to 154.965 on a regular basis??? :bowrofl:

I agree... Just take a look at my Youtube channel... Some great examples there...

Racket back on 154.965, only a couple transmissions a few minutes ago...

KING FM, 98.1 on the home audio reproduction equipment...

Happy Easter!

I listen to 154.9650 nearly 24/7, and the 'interference' has become rather annoying.
