Fixed wing AC circling I-5 @ SR18
No radio (in the work rig) :(
Traffic is fine on I-5

nothing is always something :P

heard Omaha helo(could tell by the rotor whine in the comms) up on whatcom county SO freq 453.325mhzthe other night circuling over the freeway while a WCSO dog unit was searching for something...could later hear the doggy barking in the background of comms...noisy mutt lol
gather there here WSP units involved too hearding up to haggins?
dont know what the outcome of the situation was but WSP units were cleared from the scene..never did hear if the Omaha helo was cleared
back to bellingham base or not....probably went back to routine border patrols and encrypted comms :(
this iwin trunk stuff sure sucks...bring back the old cpb repeaters :P

I'm wondering if that might have been either a "Smokey" or KOMO Radio plane as there were the 2 left lanes of northbound I-5 closed down yesterday for paper debris near S.333rd St. (near Weyerhauser office). Just a thought but you said traffic was moving fine..........

It's all in the perspective I suppose.
Traffic was moving fine for me, southbound and NORTH of that site...
And of course northbound "looked good" as there was no traffic getting through.
That explains it :lol:
