Non-broadcasted ID, with a no-shit 32 digit and letter password. And of course it's written on a post-it note on my desk.

I think I'm going to start my own fire alarm installation and monitoring company.

I'm going to call it "Repeated".

Great dispatcher:

PD unit- "I'll be out with an occupied stolen at xx and yy streets"

Dispatcher- "Received, do you want a unit to back?"

Some dispatch centers do not allow their people to assume or make decisions like that. Its up to the officer to ask for the backup. That dispatcher could be politely reminding the officer that they might want a second unit.

Several over here do. Cencom seems to have a little more authority on how they do things such as tones while holding the air, but I still hear them asking basic questions that should have been directed by those in the field in the first place. Its a common source of tension between centers and their users. Usually comes down to policy.

First dispatch center I ever had any contact with was a local city down by L.A.

Watch Commander sat in the dispatch area and ran things over the air through a dispatcher. Assigned units to calls on the spot. Was quite a change when I came up here and heard things done so differently.

Seeking a DSD wizard for coffee talk. Getting bored with analog and P25.

That's where you get arrested for shooting over baited areas.

This is just for data purposes as it doesn't decode audio but this program is a good test that you have things working on the Windows configuration side. DMR = TRBO
