I wonder if that was the KOMO reporter who broke into a commercial break (!) to announce, rather breathlessly, "Here we go! It's starting- we just had a 26-mph gust reported in Tacoma!"

Severe damage at my place has been taken care of already. An Amazon cardboard box blew into my yard from somewhere. The State Farm insurance adjuster was out early, took a bunch of photos of it and helped me throw it in the trash can. I was lucky though- 12 feet to the right and it would've crushed a dandelion.

Jupiter from the road up to Buck today

I could smell the burnt wiring from there. :)

Customers pretty much lost everything. Site is solar/generator only. Gen controller is toast. Solar controllers were kinda toast to begin with. Batteries (24V) showing 31vdc.

Cambian Networks units (IDU and ODU's) seem to have survived but everything else is pretty much a haze of smoke. The microwave link is half way back up but will need some serious work. We had a spare DC/DC converter with us so replaced that.

We owned nothing there.

Trees were cleared from the immediate area the last couple of years. Trees in the picture are actually on the downhill slope behind the site making the towers look taller than they really are.

Lightning hit.

Please insert wildly inappropriate joke about only dating women with small hands here.

You've been in away from your woman too long man!

Lightning capture shows the area getting hit. Imagine that.

The crews were up there replacing stuff yet again. 6 days now dealing with the issues. At least Im cut loose now.

Anyone hearing anything interesting lately?

That's pretty sweet until the radio comes out for service. Dead car.
