This is kinda why I posted this thread. The potential for tropical storms that could make it this way this year due to the unusually warm water in the pacific. Oho is slated to be at hurricane strength as it comes into view of the Washington shoreline. Whether it takes the path shown or steers in the direction of some of the models (averaged in the shadow area on the picture) will not be known for a few days. But the potential for a lot of rain this weekend persists no matter the track.
So just a heads up that you might want to get the boat and generator ready- just in case.
When is the last time a hurricane hit this state? Not in recorded history.
By tomorrow morning this will be just about due west of Los Angeles.
