Can anyone out there in this community help me determine the sound that I am dealing with on a constant basis. It is ruling my life.
I have reached out to SDG&E. Technician has come out and will initiate a team to be out in 10 days where they will then foam insulate the transformers. Next would be having a Radio frequency tech. or engineer come to my house and determine where this power surge (?) is originating from.
Any thoughts are welcome. Thank you

Find a different source to power your receiver.. I.E. a battery for the test.

Flip breakers one by one until the hum goes away.

Process of elimination..

But consider this.. could it be a neighbor? Could it be your own power supply to the radio? Battery will help determine that..

If you take the receiver away from your house does it still happen? I know this is the hardest of the options but may come down to it.

I am new to posting here and I actually don’t know where to post. I took a stab in the dark. Can you recommend a better place to post for an overall response. This is in regards to my house and we have eliminated all possibilities to the best of my knowledge as far as breakers. Thank you for the advice.

I thank you for your reply but, I don’t have a radio. I’m just reaching out to the community to help me find someone to determine where this noise is coming from. I feel like my house is acting as a receiver or amplifier of some sort for an outside electrical source. It is quite loud and disturbing my peace of mind. Kind regards, RMQ

Flipping your circuit breakers off one at a time is excellent advice regardless of whether or not the noise is related to a radio. Doing this will help you determine whether the hum is originating from something powered in you house, and if so which circuit is feeding the source. If you have isolated the breakers my question is: Does the hum still happen with ALL breakers off ? By the way you picked a good spot to post this as there is a wealth of knowledge here regarding electrical in general and troubleshooting of strange things.
