I don't think the word means what you think it does LOL :) Discrete is not top secret. Discrete is individually separate or distinct. So they are individual frequencies that they would use. |

LOL - Nothing is secure these days. 5192 kHz is Primary Daytime and 2411 kHz is primary Nightime frequency, all in USB. One of the 8 frequencies is 2414 KHz -- which was the very first radio channel used by all of the Police dispatchers back in the 1920's and 1930's. It was a one-way talk out "Calling All Cars" radio channel shared by all police departments in the state. The call letters where all 4 letters like commercial radio stations. Sure would like to hear them using 2414 kHz. PS: The only difference between now and then was 2414 KHz was just standard AM Voice and now 2414 KHz is USB (+1.4 kHz), KNHH-598 + KNHH-597 + KB-44651 All USB 2326 KHz Night - Interstate 2411 KHZ Night - Primary 2414 KHz 2587 KHz 2801 KHz 5192 KHz Day - Primary 7805 KHz Day - Interstate (Oregon + Idaho) 7935 KHz |

http://mil.wa.gov/other.links/telecommunications Also note that besides the WA. State - SECURE net HF radio the State EOC uses Both the FEMA HF radio system (FNARS) and the WA National Guard HF radio system (STARL). I will try to list the FEMA HF channels soon. |
