KNBC-970 -- Amtrak operations: Los Angeles depot: 161.055 R/M (161.475 in), San Diego depot: 161.175 B+M, Stockton depot: 161.055 B+M, Martinez depot: 160.92 B+M. The Martinez depot is a dump at night. No security after 9 PM - until 8 AM. City allows panhandlers to roam around and beg -- inside the train station. |

They had a volunteer program at Martinez in the 90's not sure if that went away. Stockton seemed scarier. |

Come to think about it -- they are both real bad stops. In Stockton you can get killed, but in Martinez - you only have the beggers - panhandlers - and thiefs trying to rip you off. Be sure to avoid BOTH stops at night. |
