New Tac channel for Corcoran PD -- 453.50 R/M N293. The city of Corcoran PD only gets 10 calls a day and fields only 3 cars per shift. Your tax dollars at work.

So a city of 23000 and 2 major prisons only gets 10 calls for service per 24 hour day?

I say get them as many radio toys as they want- they seem to be doing things right!

Real city population is only 5,000 persons. The remaining 18,000 are in the two state prisons -- which has its own 800 mhz trucked system.

"Inmates are counted as city residents by both the United States Census and the California Department of Finance. Thus, the incarcerated persons in the two prisons comprise just over 50% of the total population of Corcoran."

Whoops, sorry for 2 replies, posting from phone (Comcast is taking their time). Still, 11000 people and only 10 calls? I know places here with half of that population that're busier...

If you look at that as a ratio, then yeah--your house.
