Post subject:  "Spiderman" Film Shoot LA

Just a quick post about some filming going on in downtown LA for the next "Spiderman" movie.

They were shooting some night scenes outside my hotel earlier this week (1/15 & 1/16). The action was downtown along Grand between 3rd & 4th. They had about 20 cars, including several police cars made up to look like NYPD vehicles, all doing an action driving sequence. It was interesting to see all these cars take off to do the scene, then stop and back up to their starting points to do the next take. They did this routine for quite some time till they reset for the next shot around 2AM.

While all this was going on, I was searching for the production radio channels, of course. Here is what I found for the couple of hours I was watching the show:

451.6625 MHz, D261 - Grips
452.4875 MHz, D223 - Possibly lighting crew
456.3625 MHz, D664
457.1625 MHz, D134
456.8000 MHz, D051
466.2125 MHz, D172
466.2375 MHz, D734 - Stunt coordinator talking to all the drivers
467.8625 MHz, D074
468.5125 MHz, D023
469.4875 MHz, D743 - AD calling action and cut

May have been more, but I had to hit the hay to catch my flight home. The production crew may be using these same channels on other location shoots around the area.

Very good catch Chris !! I love watching and listening to film or TV crews. My favorite was when they were filming the "CHIPS" Tv shows around LA - on several VHF channels. 153.02, 152.90 and 152.96 most often. 153.02 often was used to broadcast the FAKE CHP radio calls - to the actors motorcycle or police car radios.
