Wow! Just looked in the CA data base and there are 3697 entries.
Glad to see CA has a section in the forums.

Are there any good sources for the amusement parks and other tourist type
stuff of interest? Is BASE still going strong? Any new Kelty books out?

Thanks Rich & Mike (those in the know)

Jim, The Bay Area Scanner group does still have a yahoo group -- like NWI. However -- there are a lot of strange members that would like to flame more than to provide information. Kellty only has a disc that he still offers for sale. I hope to see others from the Bay area and SoCalScan groups here. Disneyland has gone to Nextel for day to day operations and only uses the company owned 900 mhz trunked system as a back-up. Knotts Berry Farm still uses VHF High band business (IG) channels and has added repeaters to some of the channels. Security can be heard all over the LA Basin on 151.655 R. However -- KBF is still a big gang hangout at night and on some weekends. I am not sure if Magic Mountion is still open. Lots of channels at Universal City. Both UHF and High Band. And thanks to Rich for providing a new forum. "That is all" -- MTM.

How is Bob these days, I spent the night at his house in San Jose through another friend back about 2001. He is the go to guy for all things GE.

Thanks Mike.

We'll be looking forward to checking out this new forum.
And thanks for the info on BASE & the entertainment parks.

Hope we don't have to go thru anymore brush fires for at least this year.
My sister came within a mile of loosing her house in Rancho Santa Fe when
they had the big fire down there.

It's 62 degrees here today. Hope it warms up again :D
