The CHP has applied for 42.80 -- as a replacement or additional channel for the Sonoma & Lake Counties area. With the addition of 42.80 -- the CHP will have use of EVERY frequency within the 42 Mhz Public Safety band (From 42.02 to 42.94). 47 channels. 44.94 appears to be "fill-in" repeater channel for the East Bay area.

Where's my low band 100 watt -- Plus 512 channel mobile unit ??? -- LOL LOL LOL I'm not the CHP expert. Eric C is. Stockton area 44 mhz repeater channels reported as now up and running.
