Found a page from some old frequency book for the NY/NJ area
The frequencies in the top corner is listed as "Police" in error
Those are the VHF Fire dept. channels that were used until recently
Most of the FD licenses are still active

PD used a mix of lowband as well as VHF up until the 80s when the UHF system was fully built out
Most of the old NYPD licenses arent even in the FCC database
But i did find one of the old low band licenses in the database expired

Some of the transit authority licenses are still valid
But with different frequencies

I recall in the early 1990s, NYC Auxiliary PD was on VHF high-band.

Oh cool
Yeah i suppose they probably took some of the older VHF freqs
Being that im pretty sure most if not all of the main NYCPD had migrated to UHF at that point
