I have been getting a very weak DMR signal on 478.2875
However i cannot find a license with the DMR emission for this frequency in the entire country
The signal is so weak that even the CC does not decode but can confirm it is DMR
This is being received from Nassau county NY so i suppose the signal could be coming from PA, NJ , CT or even possibly MA

I suppose it could as there is alot of DMR activity in the 470 range
I also have heard morse code on the freq in question so hopefully i can get a recording and possibly decode it...

It is WPEE697 which comes up as a long-expired callsign out of Missouri.

Of course the FCC database is down (as usual) this morning however looking at our local copy of it I see there is 478.2875 with a callsign of WPEE681 iicensed to Airsite Communications out of Brooklyn (search for 478.2875 at http://www.interceptradio.com/fcc.php ). The callsign is close enough that it likely is not coincidental. Perhaps someone entered it wrong on their repeater equipment.
