Hello all... Looking for some input. I just picked up a Pro 95 and am very happy with it. Now I am looking for a small Trunking scanner that I can use to replace my old school Pro 2026 that I have mounted in my car. The dimentions of the 2026 are as follows. Dimensions:.............................1 5/8 x 6 5/16 x 7 3/8 Inches (HWD) Does anyone know of a trunking scanner thats about the same size? The depth is not a concern. The Uniden and Radio Shack base type scanners are all too big to fit in the location I have in my car. Thanks |

That one is a little bit smaller than the more common BC7xx line, I believe. Dan |

I checked out the specs on the BCT8 and it is still to large for the area where I want to mount it. And the 246 is a handheld. I'm looking for something thats more like a base model. ANy other suggestions / models / manufactures I could look in to? |

I have a BC 780 that is attached to a remote head adapter kit that I purchased earlier this year. This unit is compact as the body part can be installed in another location and just the keyboard part is mounted wherever you want. This item can be viewed at http://www.scannermaster.com and on the left side of the page, click on remote and read the details of item number RSC-1 Remote Head Kit.I purchased both the scanner and the kit already put together. |

I think one generation of them was called the "Patrolman" or something like that. Very neat at the time. I had one for a while. I'm with the other guy above: A remote-mount BC780 might be your best bet if you don't have any larger spots, but that's serious cash. Any way the spot can be enlarged? You'd be surprised how clever you can get with a dash.
