Hello All I'm looking for a 800MHz antenna for a BC250D, i have the one from rat shack, its a hot little antenna their was a post for a antenna from a company called something like antenna specials company it had 3 groundplanes, and was just as hot ashot as the RSappox 20.00 UTL th company or their site! THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP STEVE F. |

I know who your talking about . I ordered a tiny 800 roof mount about year ago. They are called the scanner antenna specialist. I cant find them on the net anymore either, dont know what happened to them. They had some cool antennas on their site though. |

Sounds like you are using an omni-direction antenna. If thats not doing it for you get yourself an 800 yagi which is a directional antenna. Just point it toward the transmiter you want to hear. Getting another omni is not going to change what you hear. You can find a used yagi on ebay. -m |

:) THANK YOU rwright8772 and mark, it could be a omni don't need a yaggi I use this in my travels, I would like to replace this one because its soo hot and they hadother antennas also I will go back over the old post and see if I can track the posttho the format has changed just month to monththe slow way! thank you for your help!! :D STEVE F. |

http://www.greamerica.com, (the people who make the Pro-95?) have an 800mhz handheld antenna that has a swivel for base station use. I've heard it's at least as good as the RS one, I hope to get one next month, they may still be on sale now though. |
