I want to use my laptop and remote head for my BCD996 at the same time in my car. I can't seem to find a cable with a DB15 Male to DB9 Female connection. I use the Serial port in the front of the scanner for the remote head so I can't use the USB-1 to Serial port connection offered by Uniden. I have searched the web for adapters and cables alike with no luck. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate the feedback. |

The rear jack is used for GPS and Cloning. Both the Remote Head and computer interface use the front panel jack, but not at the same time. |

You can use the back port to control the radio using a null modem cable or spin your own very easily. |
