The Best Town for pirate radio broadcating seems to be San Diego. At least 3 full time pirates operate on 96.9, 98.5 and 106.9. Over 5 pirates in the San Diego County area have had to "walk the plank" after the FCC paid them a call in the past year. The main problem is - its hard to tell a NEW real broadcaster from a pirate - because Mexico has allowed or authorized several new FM stations -- that cause as much if not MORE interference than the pirates do.
