Just found this on Craigs:

800 Mhz Scanner Programming - $40 (Snohomish County)

The new 800 Mhz system is up, running, and confusing. Your old analog scanner is not hearing anything, and the new 800Mhz scanner you bought hears EVERYTHING.....RIGHT?

Thats because unlike the "old" analog, VHF system, this works off a computer programmed, computer controled system. But there is a way to hear it just like you are used too!!

I will program your scanner, with my computer to hear it just like it used to be. If you want to listen to just the Everett Fire Dept....no problem. If you want to listen to the Sheriffs office in Lynnwood, you got it.

It takes a minimal amount of time to program the scanner, but more time to program your mind on how to listen again in this new time of a new system. The sounds are the same, but the way you find a channel (much like the digital cable TV conversion) is a little different.

My programming works on most, if not all Uniden, Bearcat, and Realistic (Radio Shack) brand scanners.

If you want to listen to your scanner the way you used to be able to (with a lot of enhancements)!!! This is for you!

Email with any questions, and lets get your scanner up and running again!

I guarantee that if you liked listening to the scanner before, and are frustrated with the new system, this will make you happy again.

Send me an email if you have any questions..... otherwise, lets get your scanner working again like you are used too!!

I just typed out a list of frequencies (left out the good ones of course) and took them into my local Radio Shack and told them to start handing out these when people come in to buy scanners and charged nothing...definately screwed myself there...

I sure could go for a good mind reprogramming.
My mind is the old analog and needs to be converted to the new digital mind :bowrofl:

I get a lot of requests off my website from people wanting me to program there scanners. So the business is there if someone were to try and capitalize on it. My experience with this however is that after programming then they want you to teach them how to use the scanner. Which is a whole different subject.

But like someone said, to make mention that the Sheriff's office is in Lynnwood tells me this person does not know Sno Co. or the SERS radio system.

I read it as, if you live in Lynnwood and want to listen to the Sheriff's Department.

Maybe he can program my PRO-43 to do all that. :D

I kind of thought Uniden & Bearcat were the same company but maybe after
getting my mind reprogrammed to the new digital I will understand better. :bowrofl:

I'll do it for free but I'll need 72 hours so that I can drool over your new scanner. :P
