Hey everyone, I am looking into getting some new antennas for my scanner. I would rather buy them than make them. First of all I am looking to get a mobile antenna for my vehicle. The frequency range most important is 139-144 and good reception on higher up to 470mhz would be great. I am also looking into getting a new base antenna for the roof of my house. Same frequency range, and able to recieve the same in all directions. Anybody have any suggestions? specific models, makes? where to buy? etc. Any help would be great, I have no idea where to start CC |

I've never used one, and they probably cause you to loose some signal, but there are devices that can toggle between two ant.s (i.e. 1 VHF and 1 UHF) going into one unit. My experience is if you need both V/UHF best to use two ant.s. |
