I'm wondering how everybody else records their scanner audio...Line in, Mic in, computer controlled scanner what else is out there? I'd like to record the more funnier stuff I hear but I don't think about it until after they're done talking. So it's like I need a recorder to be going in the background all of the time... Gimme watcha got... |

It won't work on any of your equipment, but I use bcTool. |

UBC800XLT, UBC3500XLT, BR330T, BCD396T, BCT15, BCD996T, SC230, BC246T. And probably the new X models too. But get a PSR-500 instead. Much better scanner, but the software that does the same thing as bcTool will run you $35. Wil has been using another program that'll record via the 500, but it's kind of a pain in the ass. I don't have a PSR, but I envy it. |

I use the program called scanner recorder and I use a radioshack 6 foot sheilded audio cable. To edit my audio I use audacity audio editing software. |

Since I record (or will be recording, once I get everything set up) from more than one source, I make use of a surplus Dialogic 12-channel telephony card (a D/120JCT-LSU, to be exact), the Dialogic .WAV driver, and a package from Abyss Media called Multi-Channel Recording System (MCRS). MCRS will work equally well with standard sound cards, single or multi-channel, and with other telephony cards IF the manufacturer of such supplies a .WAV driver. Happy listening. |

Butel ARC### records and logs. I'm pretty selective about recording, I get lots of intermod where I am. Flash |

So I looked into the Zetron software because it looks like the one I'd like to use. They want $850 for the license for the software and if you need the interface, that's another $450 or so. Nice idea but too rich for my blood. |

The question was "how do you record"; I never said it was cheap. But hey, its rated for mission critical applications. |
