Does anyone have one have a Pro Comm Spider scanner antenna? If so, are they any good?

Hey thanks for the info. what all do you guys use for outside antennas? Im not going to be able to get mine very high up at all, so trying to get something good. thanks

I'm running a few at home:

Larsen VHF/UHF mobile antenna mounted on a VHF groundplane mount thats on a mast about 6 feet above roof level.

Maxrad mobile scanner antenna mounted on a UHF groundplane mount in the attic.

Maxrad mobile trilinear 800mhz antenna mounted on a 800mhz groundplane mount in the attic.

At one point in time I ran a discone 80 feet up a tree with LMR400 coax. Kicked ass on VHF but a roof-level yagi performed much better at 800mhz. There is something to be said for gain vs. antenna height & coax loss especially at higher frequencies.
