Fellow radio folk, Just wanted to let you know about a relatively inexpensive ($60) software package for doing multichannel audio recording/logging. I'm using it with a 12-port Dialogic analog card, and it works great! http://www.multichannelrecorder.com/ Abyss Media also has great customer service, as opposed to NCH.com who, apparently, can't be bothered to answer E-mail or treat their customers as anything other than would-be criminals. The next major revision of MCRS will, according to its developer, have web-based remote control capability for the software itself. Happy listening. |

Funny, Taco and I were just discussing this last night. I went with ID Tracker II (v2.1.1). http://bellsouthpwp.net/k/d/kd5eis/IDTr ... racker.htm I ran it with 30 conventional freqs from 2100-0430 today, and it seemed ok, but only logged traffic on one, and that was only the CWID. I left it running today, I'll check it around 2000 and see what it grabbed. |

I should add that I did have a lot of static-filled audio files this morning, primarily on fed freqs, but this is more of a hardware problem (Nextel site closeby). |

Came home to hours worth of staticky intermod, lots of CWIDs, and chat on a previously unheard freq. More testing tonight. |
