Hey guys, I hear "SOTA violations" all the time on my scanner. I believe it has something to do with drugs, what does the acronym SOTA mean ?

SODA- Stay out of Drug Area(s).

The cops and courts can order a person convicted of a narcotics offense to stay out of an area they've defined as a drug area- like 3rd and Bell downtown, or Auburn :lol:

Anyhow, it's like a probation term. If you're in one fo the 'drug areas' and you have a SODA order on the books, it's off to jail for you.
