Scan mode says nothing to scan and my scanner has freq. on it
also I am trying to put freq. on it and it says key pad locked :x

first you need to unlock the keys

Locking/Unlocking the Keypad
Press and hold down Func then "the button with a key/LCD Light" to lock or unlock the keypad. (the lock will be off the screen)

Then Press a number key to unlock a system (just press 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0) until something happens. if you see all 10 numbers on the top row of the two rows of numbers and no * then you need to go in and press Function 1 function 2 until you see no * for the second row of numbers, a missing number or a - just means nothing programed there. Ideally you want to find someone in your area to give you a quick how-to hands on, once you see it work it is clear - to type it is a little hard to understand.
