now that the analog cell phones have been shut down, what's ganna go into the band? are new scanners ganna be sold with 800 MHz unblocked? |

Those bands are used for the digital transmissions also. They just have more channels now... |

Quote: are new scanners ganna be sold with 800 MHz unblocked? as im sure the article points out legislation once set is hard to remove - who is going to pay for or front a bill to say "remove the restriction for scanner listeners" its likely there forever. I haven't heard a cell phone since 1995 however if you tune into cells now they have awesome horrible digital noise. |
