The Radio Shack site has a new scanner on it which
seems to be the replacement for the PRO-97.
It looks like the PRO-97. Looking at the manual it shows it also
covers the 700 MHz band which the PRO-97 does not.
Price is $219.95. None show up in stock in local stores yet.

they have a hack out so that you can listen to the police not sure if it will decode p25 (i didnt see the mod reference it) but i think it works on this radio.

not even mods.dk has this one yet.

What problems are you talking about? I have never had a problem with the one I have except it is a really major pain to program.

The 164 has an S meter and user upgradeable firmware. I beleive it also has a Railroad service search. It is similar to GRE's PSR-300. One can probably find the latter online at a better price plus it comes with an AC adapter. 700 is useless unless it decodes P25.
