I was really bored while waiting around for the wife yesterday, so I took in a movie: Die Hard 4.

Saw some unusual frequencies in use in the movie, they be worth programming into the scanner to see what's up:

144.330- This was used by Willis to talk to his supervisor on the NYPD...From NJ and DC.

66.6- Kevin Smith's character had this in his CB radio, and the terrorists also had it programmed in their semi truck's CB radio.

Also, in one scene, the deputy director of the FBI's "Cybercrime Division" is seen being handed a handheld CB radio to talk on.

Note to self- Google the phrase "tongue in cheek posting".

144.300MHz is the good old 2 meter ham band.
66.6MHz is in the middle of TV channel 3.

But Jim, it was in a movie, so they MUST be real!

Sorry, I had just smoked a big fat Gurkha and was feeling especially witty and sarcastic when I posted that.
