Post subject:  Fire Tone Out For BR-330T

Can someone explain what Modulation is for, AUTO, FM, or NFM?

Can Someone explain what Attenuator is , On or Off ? Tone A of 2575 and Tone B of 1180

Trying to figure this out. Freq. is 154.235

Any help would be great.

These settings are the same as you'd be using if you were programming a conventional channel - which you probably do, so you hear the dispatcher after the tones. If you program conventional channel=154.235 and it sounds good, use those same settings under 'tone out'.

Modulation - how the audio is added to the RF signal, same as normal broadcast radios (FM and AUTO will both work for you)

Attenuator - reduces RF input if you're getting intermodulation or overload (OFF until you're forced to use it)

Plug the A and B tones in, make sure it puts the decimal point in the right spot. Pick a delay time (start with a long one) and an alert of your choice.

It's too bad that the Fire Tone Feature won't last long listening to SNOPAC because when SNOPAC stops Simulcasting 154.235 onto the 800 Mhz TRS FIRE TONE will only work on Conventioal Systems. Fire Tone Out Feature would of been great 10 years ago. Now some systems will continue to Simulcast.
