Post subject: | Wide Band Reciever Question |
I am still a bit new to the hobby. What is the advantage of a non-trunking wide band reciever. What can you hear on a full coverage radio from aor or icom from 50 mhz to up to 2ghz? I am most interested in what is heard in the 900-1300 mhz and lower bands not covered on most scanners. My scanner obviously has breaks between frequency coverage. (895xlt) I was thinking about getting the Pro2096 but that really isn't much different in frequency coverage. It still has limited frequency coverage and I suppose the apco isn't really necessary yet. So what do you hear on 1250 MHZ?? 73s Daniel |

I still make great use of my icom r-2. Scanner stuff TV audio Broadcast AM/FM 49.86 or 914 for one of my transmiters. One the main scanner and the other my cordless headphones/remote speakers Shortwave CB for highway use (I-5 17 other roads 19) save me many tickets and has allowed me to exit freeway in time to miss many messes |
