Per request, I have the map search separating the listings by city. This can make things a little easier to find especially in the areas with a lot of listings. The downside is that it increases the page load time. Here are some examples of the new format. Let me know if this format is better. Thanks.

Okanogan (few listings):

B.C. (lotta listings):

What should we do about repeaters that are located in one city but a few different cities use (Yakima Police, Union Gap Police and Selah Police all use one repeater.) Since Yakima is the main user, should it be listed as "Yakima" or should it be added with each city as a user (so it would show up 3 different times in the Yakima County database)?

For frequencies/repeaters like that, I didn't put in a city because I wasn't sure which one to use. Now those that don't have a city are all listed first with a whole bunch scattered below.

Good question. This situation is always a fun one to deal with. Either list it as Yakima or leave it uncategorized. You can mention all 3 cities in the notes. One thing we want to avoid is a bunch of duplicate database listings. Past there you can always add comments to the Yakima County page. Thats one reason why I put in a page for each county, there are all these little pieces of extra information that don't really fit in the frequency database.

If anyone has ideas to add please speak up.

Just a note;
For whoever last edited Ferry County, the 145.190 is/has been dead for some time.
No know ham repeater up there, however I've made contacts on 146.520.

I'm hearing that the State of Montana recently went to a proprietary trunked digtial VHF system. Do we have any more info on that?

There is an interesting document here which describes the system and the microwave paths:

http://hsgac.senate.gov/public/_files/070208McGowan.pdf

and the microwave equipment:

http://www.harrisstratex.com/news/view_pressrelease.aspx?pr_id=2108

A quick browse of the FCC database shows they are getting some sites licensed.

Other useful information can be found here:

It's eventually going to be a statewide P25 trunked system, but I think it's only online in Helena right now. I know Missoula didn't have any sites up last time I was there, and a friend who works for MPD said recently they were told it was a few years away. It's not a proprietary system; it's APCO Project-25 digital exclusive. Some of the sites are listed on that OTHER, pay-for-info site. I'll be back in Missoula in June for a wedding, will listen.

Hopefully it'll mesh with Wyoming's 75% complete WYOLINK VHF P-25 statewide trunked system, and IIMARS from Idaho....

I was in Montana in 2007, and several of the P25 sites were up and sounded fine in my 996.

Where at Flash? I drove east to Missoula in April 08 and flew back; no TRS sites found the whole way.

I took I-90 past Bozeman, enroute Mammoth Hot Springs. Don't recall which sites, but they didn't have great range.

Looks like I'm going to Missoula on Tuesday/Wednesday next week; will keep the board posted.

Sheesh.

Missoula next week, Portland the week after, Vancouver BC in a few weeks, back to Missoula. Rinse and repeat.

Ellensburg to Spokane is sleepy but Coeur D' Alene to Missoula is a cool road.
As I'm sure you know already.

In the Okanogan listing, you show Karl's repeater (AK2O) "closed". That's not true neither there or Spokane!
