Let's not baby with the bathwater. It's where things are going. I have multipal App's on the Iphone for scanning.
How will long will it take for Rich or Taco to hot rod it so we can turn it into an InterceptScan with lists from here.

I'm sure if you guys wanted to know, you could PM Lindsay and he would tell you the scoop with RadioShack.

Its certainly doable. Intercept had the ability for direct downloading to scanners years before these copycat websites existed. The only problem was at the time there were very few radios on the market which could interface with a computer so I put that code on the back burner due to lack of interest.

We better get used to the masses having access to to stuff, that previously was only open to those that did the work to be in the 'know'

When these people send for rescue form some place they shouldn't be in the first place let them pay the bill and be legally responsible for any harm to the rescuers.

That may give others who would call for help something to think about.

Rescue is OK if really needed and those who need it have no other choice.
Don't let these 911 people call "WOLF" and spoil things for those who really need it.

We need to get back to topic or start a new thread for this...

I wonder if the "Shack" is selling an antenna that we can use to receive the frequencies in Florida and New York that are programmed into it? :bowrofl:

Anyone tried one out or purchased one?

some pics here

I like the memory card aspect but it really looks like more steps through the menu to change modes to monitor or turn off more than one system in it's banks.(does it have banks? folders?) Maybe it's not that difficult. Evidently one can change the *other sides* database through the SD card and a card reader with the supplied CD program and cable which is a good thing, but this involves removing the batteries. It has a PC/IC interface for firmware updates only. It can charge the 2 AA's though a mini usb. 2 AA's seem lackluster. maybe they assumed folks would power off their computer or phone charger most of the time. I would also want to know how fast it scans through a TRS or conventionally compared to the rest.

If it's easy to set up by getting rid of some of the pre programmed stuff on the memory card, then maybe. Portland should reband soon in the next week or so and the other 2 or 3 counties will flip their switches the same moment. My 97 is becoming somewhat less usable down there. It doesn't track Salem anymore. I will look at a BC346xt as well.

Looks like a very simple easy to use scanner. After spending 4 weeks messing with my BCT15X I would have welcomed this kind of direction and saved some of my thinning hair!.....:)

I saw a review that said the 107 doesn't have an external speaker out? It would have to have a headphone plug in right? Isn't that the same thing? I'm seriously thinking of grabbing one of these with the $50 off and 10% savings.

Edit: I see it does have a 1/8 headphone jack. Couldn't believe it didn't at least have a headphone jack. I see it has a 2 gb SD card.

I'm picking one up today or tomorrow for ^%& and giggles, if it doesn't work out I can take it back. RS is a hell hole but they still have batteries. barely.

And the problem with this is that everyone wants it for their scanner and could care less about the others. And I don't get paid enough to write Intercept Radio programming software.
