This one is about 7 inches high, and you would think that it would be just about right for 800MhZ, but its not.

Owen, check out the 800mhz mobile antenna from DPD. What you see is what you get here... no cheap parts.

+1 on that. I have one of those, it is a Godsend for tuning fringe sites, and works great in my sunken living room on the ground floor at the bottom of the valley. It's also awesome on VHF-high band. One warning, if you move it a lot, protect the cable. I've moved mine from car to rental car to desktop to hotel a/c unit to car to wherever, and over the past few years the cable has gotten a little frayed from all the abuse I've heaped on it- must be time for another one :wink:
