Thank you. I just wanted to know how many "private" Non-city owned radios would have to be re-programmed or replaced --- and IF , they would be replaced by the City and Nextel -- as if they are owned as "city" radios ?? Are such radios looked upon as being part of the "system" ??
This refers only to the professional two-way radios that have been sold by the City of Seattle to "private" citizens and business interests -- like towing companys, private security agents and the like -- not scanners.

I'm sure there are thousands... I'm in the same bucket (I use a pro-95). I figure it'll just be a good excuse to go and buy a 396T, then at least I'll have digital when I need it. Probably when the time gets closer, there will be some news articles about it (because, after all, the media will be affected as well!). That's when it will get interesting.

Who knows - maybe everybody else can start a class action lawsuit against sprint-nextel so we can all get new scanners for free! :lol: But I doubt that will happen.....
