I have a BC245xlt that has just stopped on me. I haven't had time to get to a shop or talk to anyone yet. I thought I would describe the problem and hopefully I might get some clues as to what it could be.
The BATT light started flashing and I hooked it up to the wall charger. When I disconnected it and turned it on the BC245 flashes on the screen once or twice and disappears. The screen remains blank and a low static type noise is heard. The noise gains volume if the volume control is turned up.
I am hoping it is just a battery, but if so why do I get the noise. Any clues would be appreciated.
If it is more than a battery, and can be fixed locally would the closest place be ABC. It's the only one I know of. Would that be the source for a battery as well?
