I got a Simple Question (but may be Stupid)
Why do airports Broadcast on Two Seperate Freq.'s e.g 128.00 and 257.800 I can Hear The Tower and AC on Both

I can Understand Remote Sites Like Seattle Center Uses all Over The P.N.W but Right at The airport ?? :?:

The simple answer is that general aircraft use VHF and MilAir uses UHF

Because the tower/center are working with planes in the same area - some using VHF and some using UHF. So the simulcast. Also sometimes at night you might hear the same center side traffic on different Vhf freq's as the same controler may be handelling approach and maybe departure.
